§1Introduction

This document specifies the system requirements for the Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM). It is derived from the user needs set forth in §3 and decomposes them into system-level behaviors, interfaces, and constraints to be realized across the sensor, transmitter, mobile application, and cloud subsystems.

The content of this document is generated from the Lucora RM project continuous-glucose-monitor. The project is the source of truth; this document is a derived view.

§3User needs

Glucose tracking · 2 items

UN UN-0001 Users need continuous visibility into their glucose levels throughout the day. hash 8f3a2c91…
Adults with insulin-dependent diabetes need real-time glucose data to make informed dosing decisions without repeated finger-stick sampling.
UN UN-0002 Users need to be alerted when glucose is trending toward hypoglycemia. hash 1de0b7f5…
Audible and haptic alerts must trigger when predicted glucose will fall below 70 mg/dL within 20 minutes.

§4System requirements

Glucose · 2 items

SR SR-0001 The system shall report a new glucose value every 5 minutes. hash a90cf412…
Matches the granularity users need for dosing decisions while preserving sensor battery.
SR SR-0002 Glucose values shall be visible on the mobile app within 10 seconds of acquisition. hash 4b2e9a80…
